What was the PMC blog?
PMC was a blog used in a post-graduate course run at RMIT.
Students were asked to make postings about a web technology that facilitates communication.
Each student posted their research findings on their own blog. Other students then posted comments, questions or links to this post. The poster can then respond.
Through this communication process, knowledge is extended and published. Visitors can then easily read the whole discussion.
The following observations were made:
1. This communication is more formal in tone than a chat or discussion group. This is possibly because the contributor knows they are contributing to knowledge building.
2 . The page layout is more effective than a discussion group. There is a clear sense of progression.
The PMC blog was installed and hosting by Internet Guru.
