Loading ASPI layer from Shareware music machine
XP does not ship with an ASPI layer. So this will need to be downloaded. This can be downloaded for free from http://www.adaptec.com/
Go to START>>>RUN and type in CMD. This will open up a command prompt DOS box. Change the path to whereever you unzipped the downloaded file. Type INSTALL.BAT XP32
While still in the DOS box, type REMANE WOWPOST.EX_ WOWPOST.EXE Then type RENAME WINASPI.DL_ WINASPI.DLL
Quit the DOS box and go back to the folder that the downloaded file was unzipped to. You will now see WOWPOST.EXE and WINASPI.DLL Copy WOWPOST.EXE and WINASPI.DLL to C:\WINDOWS\system
Run ASPICHK.EXE in the unzipped folder and it should now show all 4 files with the version number 4.71.2 installed.
Ensure the S2000 is booted and connected to the PC and reboot the PC.
If all has gone well all s/w that supports the S2000 over SCSI should now work.
If you boot the PC before the S2000 then you may need to go to device manager and scan for hardware changes in order for the S2000 to be picked up by XP.
